Option for exporting data into databases
ibaDatCoordinator
is a powerful tool for processing and managing measurement files automatically.
Typical fields of application are automatic extraction of product-related
characteristic values in databases as well as creating reports. In synergy with
ibaAnalyzer, various processing procedures can be done fully automatic and
employees can be relieved of routine tasks.
Automatic post-processing
of data files
The
ibaDatCoordinator application is a powerful tool for processing and managing
data files automatically.
Analyzing
data, calculating parameters or just managing the data files often takes a lot
of time, especially in heterogenous system environments with a whole lot of
influencing factors.
With
ibaDatCoordinator, you have got a tool at your hands that allows you to run
different procedures fully automatically and hence to relieve staff of routine
work.
With
the integrated tools, data management can be set up individually. To take an
example: measured data can be collected from the data acquisition systems and
be provided centrally to all authorized users.
Moreover,
the measured data can be extracted automatically into a database.
Generating
individual reports
The
system is especially facilitating work when it is used in combination with ibaAnalyzer
and the ibaReportGenerator application. You can generate automatically
individual job-, shift- or product reports for production, quality management
or controlling in different formats.
If
requested, the reports can be sent immediately via e-mail. Furthermore,
ibaDatCoordinator can check the signals for defined limit values.
In
case, the limit values are exceeded, several actions can be started, e.g.
sending a message to the responsible persons.
User-friendly
design
The
ibaDatCoordinator application is based on data files that have been generated
by ibaPDA or other systems. The data files are processed by means of the
so-called “jobs”. Each job is made up of one or more tasks. The application
stands out because of its easy use.
With
just a few mouseclicks, you can generate a new job and the related tasks. The
drag & drop function allows you to change the sequence of the tasks or to
drag them from one job into another.
Integrated
monitoring of tasks
ibaDatCoordinator
is monitoring defined directories or sub-directories for new data files and
data files that have not been processed, yet. As soon as a data file has been
processed, the related task is started. ibaDatCoordinator monitors the status
of each task and adds marks that show if the task has succeeded or failed.
ibaDatCoordinator
can send messages that show if a task has succeeded or failed. Within one job,
you can define certain conditions. A task is executed, depending on the success
or failure of the preceding task. If a task has failed, you can define if the
data file is to be processed once again or has to be deleted.
The different tasks
Copy task
By
means of a copy task, you can copy data files on a file server or move them.
For reducing the load of the ibaPDA-Server, the data files can be deleted as
soon as they have been copied successfully.
Report task
The
report task allows you to create reports automatically. The report can either
be sent to a printer or generated as a file in different file types. The
following file types can be generated: pdf, htm, mhtml, txt, xls, rtf, tif,
emf, jpg, bmp, xml. A report can also be sent as e-mail.
Extract
task
An
extract task can extract data from a .dat file towards a database or another
data format. This way, also third party systems have got access to the measured
data.
Script task
The
script task can be used to run a self-created script. The scripts supported by
ibaDatCoordinator are all scripts that run under the standard Windows command
shell, e.g. batch files, Visual Basic or Java. This task offers an open
interface for a free processing of measured data.
Condition task
A
condition task can be used to control the execution of the following tasks. A
condition can be defined directly from the signals available in the .dat file
or from a value calculated by the ibaAnalyzer. This way, “outliers” can be
found subsequently or measured data of product groups gathered. The data files
can then be sent as report or copied in a separate subdirectory.
Pause task
With
the pause task, you can finish a data file with a delay in time, for an update
task can be executed within a defined time period.
Update data task
An
update data task can add info fields into a .dat file or rename the .dat file
based on data available in a database. This can be a measured value delivered
by another system, e.g. weight.
Watchdog
By
configuring Watchdog messages, third party programs can monitor the status of
ibaDatCoordinator via the network and send an alarm message in case of a
failure.
